Show Notes:

  • Jaime’s number one habit is being intentional and being present in the moment.
  • Sometimes you don’t realize it’s time to hire someone, so you should know the signs:
    • If you’re constantly late for meetings.
    • If you’re getting more unorganized.
    • If you’re forgetting things.
    • If you’re not following up.
    • If you’re working weekends.
  • The 2 biggest challenges in scaling are:
    • A lack of follow up.
    • A lack of attention to detail.
  • It is important to document and create work systems and processes right away.
  • Entrepreneur squirrel syndrome is when you keep going after shiny and promising things and thus lose focus.
  • Everybody should understand what their why is.
    • What you do impacts more than just the bank account and the company.
      • There is a global impact.
  • Outsourcing forces you to systemize.
  • Being able to identify tasks you need to outsource is essential.
  • Create a delegation roadmap:
    • List out all the tasks you do in a day then classify them as:
      • tasks that give you energy or drains you.
      • tasks that you must do or tasks that someone else can do 85% as well as you or better.
  • Being kind is powerful.
    • Trust your team to make good decisions without consulting you constantly.
  • How to make a decision:
    • Is it good for the company?
    • Is it good for the team?
    • Is it good for the client?
  • Positive culture is behavior and communication.
    • It’s about understanding the vision and mission and having everyone on board for that.
